New Jailbreak tool works on just released iOS 13.5

A new tool by hacking cluster Unc0ver will break iOS 13.5, the just-released version of Apple’s iOS, Wired reported. The cluster says the break, that works on iOS eleven and better, is constructed on a zero-day vulnerability, doesn’t drain a device’s battery life, and doesn’t have an effect on the utilization of Apple services or undermine the iOS sandbox security, per Wired.

Unc0ver’s lead developer told Wired the break adds exceptions to existing rules, and “enables reading new break files and components of the filesystem that contain no user knowledge.”

The broken tool isn't open supply, and therefore the cluster didn’t say that vulnerability in iOS it exploited to make the tool. Jailbreaking provides a user additional management over a device’s OS, permitting customization and therefore the installation of apps that Apple would otherwise prohibit. It can also be employed by would-be attackers to compromise a device’s security.
